In September 2022, as part of its ongoing long-term collaboration with Accademia Teatro alla Scala, Fondazione Bracco was the Main Partner for the production of The Secret Marriage, an “opera buffa” by the composer Domenico Cimarosa. Each year, the Academy of La Scala runs a project (Progetto Accademia) for the staging of a work by its young students that La Scala then includes in its main season.
The work was performed by current students and graduates of the Academy’s course for opera singers with musical accompaniment from the pit by the youth orchestra under the direction of Ottavio Dantone, conductor and specialist in eighteenth-century music.
The work was performed under the new and exciting direction of Irina Brook, who worked closely with Academy students and selected performers in the same age category as the characters they play on stage.
Fondazione Bracco was delighted to support the performance, which, coinciding with the 95th anniversary of the Bracco Group, showcased the talents and skills of the students of the Academy.
