“Music and medicine” cycle on the curative power of music

Bracco Foundation, with the scientific collaboration of Istituti Clinici Scientifici Maugeri IRCCS Pavia, Conservatorio di Musica G. Verdi Milanand the Cremona Museo del Violino presents the “Music and Medicine” cycle of encounters dedicated to the curative power of music and the various fields of clinical application.

Music, and more generally culture, are a fundamental tool for psychological well-being and the care of people of all ages and in several clinical fields.

From this premise, confirmed by scientifically obtained results, comes the"Music and Medicine" cycle of encounters, from well-being to care, presented in a press conference in live streaming on February 3, 2022. The initiative, which has an innovative methodological approach, involves the cities of Milan, Pavia and Cremona and will tackle the subject of music and medicine from different perspectives: from the value of music for the health of mothers and the fetus, to neurological care and the use of music in the hospital environment.

The three "shows" of the project were concluded by a musical performance either from the Milan Conservatorio or the Cremona Museo del Violino.

Each lasting two hours, the encounters were of interest also for doctors and the entire cycle is accredited by the E.C.M. – Educazione Continua in Medicina with 1000 places for all health professions and counts for five training credits.
