Fondazione Bracco is providing bursaries for the years 2019-2021 to young musicians training at Accademia di Musica Pinerolo.
Accademia di Musica Pinerolo is a highly renowned academy of music that has been operating since 1994. In addition to providing music-related courses to almost 500 students per year and masterclasses in the piano, viola, violin, cello, orchestral playing and chamber music, the academy also arranges a concert season and an international chamber music competition that is held every two years.
As of the academic year 2019-20, the academy is launching state-accredited postgraduate courses in musical heritage that will revolve around a chosen instrument or style: classical and contemporary piano music, the viola, violin, cello and guitar.
Fondazione Bracco is providing financial support for young musicians at Accademia di Musica Pinerolo for the academic years 2019-20 and 2020-21. The bursaries are intended in particular for students attending Italy’s only institute of postgraduate specialization in instrumental musical heritage (Scuola di Specializzazione post laurea in Beni Musicali Strumentali - 3° livello).
In 2021 the Academy of Music of Pinerolo streamed the first of a series of six free Tuesday concerts online. The concerts go out at 9 p.m. every Tuesday from 9 February to 16 March 2021.
