- Fifth call for the “Ora di scienza!” inclusive teaching project
10/09/2023
Through new digital tools and the embrace of languages and technologies, teaching methods have become more inclusive, innovative and sustainable. This is the premise on which the latest “Ora di Scienza!” call for projects is based.After the success of the previous editions of the project, which was launched in 2020, the Bracco Foundation is now promoting the fifth “Ora di Scienza!” for 2023-2024. The call for projects, which is addressed to schools of all levels, is intended to elicit fresh stimuli that include testimonies from women scientists and, by following three educational pathways, deliver helpful teaching and methodological tips.
PATHWAYS
- The science of the future: This pathway is dedicated to the centrality of STEM subjects and the development of new professions;
- Mind the STEM Gap: This pathway is dedicated to gender equality and the overcoming of stereotypes, with particular regard to the promotion of scientific vocations;
- AmbientiAMO: This pathway is dedicated to the concept that environmental protection is an essential practice that redefines our identity and our relationships with the world.
The project encourages students to use and produce materials to express their creativity, free thinking and authorship. It offers teaching tips for the promotion of next generation skills, and promotes the adoption of innovative languages and learning methods (the Mind the STEM Gap - A Roblox Jukebox being one such example). It promulgates the creation of digital content that represents the innovative capacity of our schools and lends itself to virtual display.
HOW TO TAKE PART
The call for projects is open to students from Italian schools of every level across the country.

- Chooses one or more of the three pathways: “The Science of the Future”, “Mind the STEM Gap” or “AmbientiAMO”
- Immerses itself in the teaching and educational content associated with the chosen pathways, and makes use also of other material, chosen by the teacher, that is of interest to the theme and advances the work of the group;
- Designs and creates an individual or joint digital project that might be an analysis, a narrative or a communication campaign in the form of a presentation, a video, an app, etc.
Applicants need to send to scuola@fondazionebracco.com
• by 20 November 2023, an application form indicating the pathway the applicant intends to pursue;
