The Felder Award, launched by the Bracco Foundation on 25 February 2019, is an international call worth one million euros that has the aim of bringing back to Italy a talented young Italian researcher.
Bracco Foundation and Bracco Imaging promote the Felder Award, a research project in the micro-fluid sector of pharmaceuticals through a call in collaboration with Politecnico di Milano and Fondazione Politecnico di Milano. The Felder Prize is an international call worth 1 million Euro that has the aim of bringing back a talented young Italian researcher to Italy.
The award, developed by Bracco Foundation as part of progettoDiventerò, is in memory of the great scientist Ernst Felder, who died in 2018. As head of research of the Bracco Group he discovered Iopamidol, a non-ionic contrast fluid that has revolutionised image diagnostics internationally.
The project was presented on Monday, 25 February 2019, in the presence of Eduard Felder, son of the great researcher, by Ferruccio Resta, Director of the Politecnico di Milano, Diana Bracco, President of the Bracco Foundation and of the Bracco Group, Gianantonio Magnani, President of Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, Gaela Bernini, General Secretary of the Bracco Foundation and Maurizio Masi, scientific head of the Ernst Felder Prize and director of the “Giulio Natta” Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano.
