Enhancing and encouraging innovation in technical training courses is a key part of building students’ skills and strengths.
As part of the SI Scuola Impresa Famiglia project, Fondazione Bracco, Fondazione Cariplo and Fondazione Politecnico di Milano have jointly launched a new invitation for projects under the name “DIGITA.R.SI.”
The initiative consists of two complementary lines of action: one to enhance the digital component in the teaching of STEM subjects, and the other to encourage the creation of products conducive to pro-science career guidance in the classroom.
More than 250 public and government-certified private technical institutes in Lombardy and the Piedmontese provinces of Novara and Verbania-Cusio-Ossola are eligible to submit projects for consideration.
LINE 1 – Fondazione Cariplo
€ 800,000 investment for the improvement of the quality of the teaching of digital technologies
The object of Line 1 is to encourage technical institutes to upgrade their training courses by adopting innovative digital methods that are useful for and applicable to industry 4.0, which will entail: supporting teachers who are experimenting with digital tools and making them part of the didactic and laboratory experience; offering adequate training to teachers in the didactically effective use of technologies; and, consequently, enhancing the capacities of future graduates, who can benefit from improved teaching standards, including in the laboratory
LINE 2 – Fondazione Bracco, as part of the “Diventerò” project
€ 15,000 investment in scientific career guidance
The aim is to afford students of middle-high/lower secondary schools with the opportunity to consider their future career options in the sciences. It is important not to leave students and their families alone when it comes to making important decisions on the path of study they wish to follow, and directly present them with immediate and interesting content and stimuli that will help them think about their educational future.
Applicants are expected to build a digital product for the orientation of careers towards the sciences, with particular regard to projects that encourage girls to develop their skills in this direction.
