26 October 2023
Every year the G. Verdi Conservatorio di Musica of Milan organizes the “Premio del Conservatorio," a prize competition for its enrolled students.
The prize is divided into ten different categories of music and players: Wind instrument soloists, Keyboard and percussion soloists, String and bowed instrument soloists, Chamber music players, Jazz singing, Composition, Young talents, Pop-Rock, and Music with Ancient Instruments and voices.
As part of its commitment to nurturing young talents, since 2023 the Bracco Foundation has been sponsoring three Conservatorio prizes for winners in the categories of Ancient Music and Jazz, in particular:
- Second prize in the newly introduced category of Ancient Music (€3 thousand)
- Third prize in the newly introduced category of Ancient Music (€2 thousand)
- Second prize in the Jazz category (€3 thousand)
During 2023, prizes were awarded to Beniamino Borciani (second prize in the category of Music for ancient instruments and voices); Leone Keith Tuccinarci (third prize in the category of Music for ancient instruments and voices); and a quartet made up of Giacomo Cazzaro, Jaromir Rusnak, Filippo Loi and Andrea Lo Palo (second prize in the category of Jazz).
