The exhibition “Life as a Scientist” at the Chamber of Deputies for the STEM Week

Ahead of National Week for STEM disciplines, the exhibit "Life as a scientist" was presented at the Chamber of Deputies, during a conference dedicated to “professions of the future”, hosting leading institutional and scientific figures. The photographic exhibition illuminates the faces and careers of some of Italy's greatest female scientists.

How do we encourage girls' access to science and bridge the gender gap? One answer we strongly believe in, is to act on orientation: relying on exceptional but at the same time achievable role models, in order to promote the importance of STEM studies and knowledge of the professional opportunities offered by scientific careers.

This was the purpose of the event, targeted towards younger generations, which was attended by Lorenzo Fontana, President of the Chamber of Italian Deputies, Paola Frassinetti, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Education, Laura Ramaciotti, Rector of the University of Ferrara Alessandro Cacciotti, Director of the Collegio San Giuseppe - De Merode Institute, Amalia Ercoli Finzi, aerospace engineer, Walter Villadei, Air Force astronaut, the Deuputy Marta Schifone together with our President Diana Bracco.

The photographic exhibition "Life as a scientist", curated by the Bracco Foundation, is on display at Palazzo Montecitorio until 12 February 2025: an opportunity for schools and visitors to get closer to remarkable career paths, part of the #100experts database, and grasp the breadth of opportunities.
