It is the eve of the first American trip for La Scala Theatre Academy, which Bracco Foundation will accompany to the USA at the start of December to Chicago and Washington, to celebrate the Year of Italian Culture in the United States.
Monday, November 11, 2013 at La Scala at 17.30 will see the presentation of the book “Birthday Album 1813-2013 Teatro alla Scala Academy Ballet School”, edited by Francesca Pedroni and produced with the contribution of Fondazione Bracco, as part of the multi-year partnership with the Academy.
The commitment of Bracco Foundation for the Municipality of Genoa – Culture and Tourism Department – to promote the noble residences of the Genoa Musei di Strada Nuova continues. The project, which makes use of the know-how of Montalbano Technology, was created to ensure adequate preservation of the works of art exposed to environmental agents, using new technologies.
TheCommission made up of representatives of the five Municipalities involved (Cesano Maderno, Ceriano Laghetto, Bovisio Masciago, Cogliate and Solaro) and delegates of Bracco Foundation and Bracco Imaging, has awarded the scholarships for local university students.
There are nine winners of the scholarships promoted by Bracco Foundation and Bracco Imaging for 2012. They were selected by a Commission made up of representatives of the five Municipalities involved (Cesano Maderno, Ceriano Laghetto, Bovisio Masciago, Cogliate and Solaro), and delegates of Bracco Foundation and Bracco Imaging.
In the presence of the Mayor of Milan Letizia Moratti and numerous personalities from the worlds of culture and institutions, including Lorin Maazel, Luigi Luca Cavalli Sforza, Arnaldo Pomodoro, Maria Benedetta Donati and Livia Pomodoro, today in Milan saw the presentation of Bracco Foundation, a major new cultural institution on the Italian scene.
As part of the Foundation’s activities supporting the Museo Poldi Pezzoli, on the evening of February 18, 2013, guests will have the chance to visit the exhibition which, inspired by one of the most important works in the museum, the recently restored Imago Pietatis by Giovanni Bellini, examines the formal evolution of the iconography of Piety in the artistic works of Bellini between 1450 and 1470 through for extraordinary masterpieces by the artist portraying the subject, housed in the Milanese museum, in the Bergamo Accademia Carrara, in the Venice Museo Correr and in the Museo della Città di Rimini.
