“Renato Ugo” scholarship for industrial research papers

Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca Industriale (AIRI: an industrial research association), in partnership with the Bracco Foundation, Farmindustria and Fondazione Silvio Tronchetti Provera, is pleased to announce a competition for students entering the final year of a master’s degree in a science subject at an Italian university in the academic year 2020/2021. There are five scholarships available, each worth €5,000.The competition is named in memory of Professor Renato Ugo, a luminary in the field of Italian chemistry. Chair of AIRI in 1983-2019 and professor of General and Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Milan, Renato Ugo was also a member of the Accademia dei Lincei and the author of hundreds of papers published in international journals.

The scholarship programme will consider experimental theses (or thesis proposals) that focus on industrial research in the following areas: Industrial Chemistry and Chemistry, Materials Sciences, Industrial Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, Fine and Specialty Chemicals.

Applications must be submitted by 15 July 2021.

The Bracco Foundation, as part of its youth oriented “ProgettoDiventrò” (‘I will become’ project) is lending its full backing to this important initiative.
