2023
In 2023, Fondazione Bracco will be continuing to sponsor, in collaboration with Accademia Teatro alla Scala, a series of lectures on classical music. The lecturer is Fabio Sartorelli, musician and professor of History of Music at Conservatorio “G. Verdi” in Milan, who also teaches a “Guide to Listening” course at Accademia Teatro alla Scala.
The first lecture, which took place at 6 p.m on Tuesday 28 February 2023 and was titled “Quando Puccini faceva pubblicità alla penna Parker” [When Puccini advertised Parker pens], looks back on the history of opera and advertising from the 1900s to the present day.
The second appointment took place on 7 March 2023, and it was title “Ruoli femminili nel teatro musicale”[Female Roles in Musical Theatre]. Women at the Opera.
The last lectures in the series will be on Tuesday 16 May at 6 p.m.
The lectures are intended to draw a non-specialist audience into to the world of classical music by celebrating its universal relevance, while also surprising those more familiar with the genre with an original and multifaceted approach.
The lectures take place at Teatrino di Palazzo Visconti, at No 8 Via Cino del Duca, Milan, in the head officers of Fondazione Bracco. The Teatrino opens to the public when hosting lectures and conferences organized by Fondazione Bracco as part of the Foundation’s ongoing multi-year series of public lectures and talks known as “Fondazione Bracco incontra.”
