International Conference “Mind the STEM Gap”
On the occasion of the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, February 11, 2022, Bracco Foundation and Aspen Institute Italia will promote the International Conference "Min the STEM Gap" at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The debate will be a great opportunity to share the importance of the need for change in education systems globally, enabling girls and young women to access disciplines commonly dominated by men.
In particular Bracco Foundation will present a new version of Mind the Stem Gap Manifesto, dedicated to Girls and Boys, aimed to overcome gender disparity in the STEM disciplines, increase awareness of women's contributions to science, promote more inclusive education for girls, remove stereotypes and prejudices and support the community of educators at home and at schools.
Aspen Institute Italia will launch on this occasion ten scholarships for Women from Southern Italy to support their fees to attend STEM laurea degree courses (science, technology engineering and mathematics).
The international debate will involveinstitutional speakers and experts.
