The Fondazione Bracco “Mind the STEM Gap” Manifesto launched for the final Dialague B20-G20 on women empowerment
The European Night of Researchers saw the final encounter of the Special Initiative on Women’s Empowerment (SIWE) promoted by the B20 and presided by Diana Bracco. Here was launched the Fondazione Bracco "Mind the STEM Gap" Manifesto, aimed at supporting female access to science, overcoming gender stereotypes.
During the Dialogue were presented therecommendations developed by the B20 SIWE taskforcewhich will be delivered to Mario Draghi as current President of the G20.
In line with the recommendations of the SIWE on gender equality and inclusion, to favour the access of women to the STEM sector still with obstacles of bias and prejudice, Bracco Foundation has drawn up a Manifesto of 6 principles to sign, share and spread >>See it here
Present at the meeting, opened by B20 President Emma Marcegaglia,were Maria Cristina Messa, University and Research Minister; Diana Bracco, B20 Special for women’s empowerment, President and Ceo of the Bracco Group; Fabiola Gianotti, Director General CERN; Roberta Cocco, Councillor for digital transformation and civic services; Gaela Bernini, Secretary General of Bracco Foundation and Michele Crisostomo, President of ENEL and Co-Chair of the B20 Integrity & Compliance task force.
